Places to Visit in Vitosha

Vitosha is located very near the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. This fact makes it possible for tourists visiting the mountain to go sightseeing in the city. Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the city centre, offering many cultural sites as well as big shops, museums, opera, theatre etc. are some of the places of interest one could see in Sofia.

Other popular sites of interest in the vicinity of Vitosha Mountain are: the Boyana Church and the Dragalevtsi Monastery.
